Quick & Easy Chicken Marsala at Home

  1. Chicken has and will always be my go to quick, simple and easy meat choice.

There are so many meals that chicken adds flair and flavor to without all the hassle.

On Sunday’s, I get creative and try new things or bring back some of my favorites.

Today was Chicken Marsala.

I haven’t cooked this recipe in a while and being that it was my birthday weekend, I didn’t feel like cooking at all.

This satisfied my appetite as it only took 30 minutes to make. That’s my kind of meal.

I started with two raw chicken breast.

You can use any type of chicken. But breast seem to work better to me for this recipe.

Make certain breast are not too thick as it may not saturate the flavor evenly.

I like cooking chicken in cast iron skillets because of the temperature variation.

These are the ingredients I used. I forgot to take a pic of the marsala wine. But you can buy some or use a dry, white or red wine you have at home. I’ve gotten great flavor and taste from both.

What you need for this masterpiece:

A meal for 2.

  • 2 raw chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 table spoon of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of creole spice
  • 1 table spoon of salt free herb seasoning
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • 1 can of mushroom gravy
  • 1 cup of marsala or dry wine
  • 1 cup of seasoning blend
  • 5 sprigs of cilantro

Cook seasoned chicken for about 10 – 15 min or until no longer pink outside.

Use seasoning according to diet and personal taste. I know what I like so I can typically eyeball it.

Drain juices as you don’t want sauces (gravy, wine, onions, cilantro) to be mixed with it.

Add other ingredients to skillet with half done chicken.

Cook the chicken and ingredients covered for another 15 or until done.

Turn accordingly to make certain gravy doesn’t stick to skillet.

Let cool before serving.

The final product.. oh so yummy.

Look at how delicious it looks. I love pretty food and this is photo ready.

The gravy, the wine and the spices give this chicken marsala great flavor.

Pair it with pasta or a salad and call it meal.
